Yes I know, I translated most of those posts but still couldn't get much information on how exactly to do it... It's just that - I convert an image EURO SPY lets say to BMP. I don't edit it and instantly convert it back to RLE. And put it in the game folder and start Tzar. And the ingame, it's bugged. It disappears from time to time and I have no idea why. I haven't even edited the goddamn thing! It must be something wrong I am doing when converting BmpToRle but I cannot see where. 8 Directions, 104 frames and that's it.. right? Sigh... oh well. Thanks for the help though. I'll just try to edit the exe and if I fail there as well, well then I guess I won't be editing Tzar that much further. I've already made my own patch I just wish I could enhance it even more.

I haven't changed anything. I converted the spy rle file to bmp. Then I edited it. Then I converted it to rle again and in BmpToRle I typed in EURO SPY 104 frames, 8 directions ; EURO SPY ATTACK 112 frames, 8 directions ; EURO SPY DIE 160 frames, 8 directions ; EURO SPY IDLE 56, 8 directions.
I haven't made new units or renamed any of the files.
Another thing I tried was convert the Spy RLE to BMP then convert it back to RLE (without editing it) but it still bugged in game - some of the frames disappeared on Attack or Death. When I typed in random frame numbers when converting the game even crashed. Are my frame numbers not correct or what? (I counted them 1 by 1 2 times and they all divide by 8 (8 directions) so they seem correct). Tell me, have you ever tried adding new images to Tzar? Do they work correctly?

Which cooldown do you mean? if cooldown of summning - it is based on mana cost divided by[ mana regeneration of unit (concentration or not)]

The cost for the spell is in data.wdt? Where? Are the cooldowns there too by any chance?
Regarding Rle2Bmp problem - I meant that after I convert the image and put it into the game (just an edited Spy (brown version for Arabs)) it doesn't display properly. It disappears on Attack/Death animations, I have no idea why. And no, I didn't edit the data in the Images. But where in Images can I see the number of frames?
For example:

Cheat engine is only to find variables, to change it in tzar.exe you have to use other program (i was doing it that way) becasue CE(cheat engine) working on working proces and doesnt change the file but the 'process' .
Fixed statements are green in CE.
Im not even a IT specialist, so i cant help you more.
I dont work lots with rle2bmp program, to me i was working fine (ofc i have lots of problems but i always find the problem and slove it)
Do you editing images ile in data.wdt? (numbers of frames etc)
If you ant to change changed values you can use file comperator to compare exe of 1.10 to exe of 1.13b

Mana for dragon is in data.wdt file so i dont understand the question xd

Sorry for double posting I couldn't figure out how to edit my post.
Ok so I edited a few values (750 mana cost for Dragon for example) but the changes don't take place ingame. When I reopen the .exe with Cheat Engine I can see that changes have taken place, since I can no longer find the value 750 but ingame it still costs 750. How so?

Yes I've used RleToBmp but when I convert the image to RLE and add it into the game, the image becomes invisible for a few seconds, it's very bugged. Is it something wrong I am doing when converting?

there is no tzar-Cheatengine tutorial you must visit hakers forums and learn it from 0 to all programs
Tzar will always working as long as 2 ppl have the same version of it, for exaple you will make it and let all files to youe friend
Game crashing when you all (players) dont have the same verion of tzar, the game is long, or sb using hacks/ presing many times at once shift+del.

Well I've used Cheat Engine a few times but will this work Multiplayer if I edit it? Where do I begin learning this kind of editing? I haven't found any threads for it, searching in every Tzar site. I also have a few other questions if you don't mind me asking - when editing Images and converting BmpToRle I gotta type in the Animation Frames and Turns (
but when I add it to the game the new animation clips or something and disappears at times... why is this happening? And is there any way to fix Multiplayer errors like "Syntax error" or game crash for no reason? I don't have high hopes for the last, the programming is very crappy but I love this game too much and really want to play it with my friends.

Its in Tzar.exe you have to edit it, its no so easy. You need to editing hexes or using cheat engine or IDA. If u dont know about it it will be relly hard to lern it, i was trying it and i fall.

A thing from Patch 1.13
"1. Inventing duration of irrigation increased to 10min; bonus to food collected from fields increased from +4 to +12."
Where do I mod the collected food bonus? Or anything of that sort? Like spells bonuses? Spells damage? I can't seem to find it anywhere in the datas, I've searched every .txt file. Can any modder help me with this? I tried to find a similar question translating some parts of the site with Google translate but you can see how that didn't give much result...
I reaaally want to learn how to do this, I've been trying for months now. Please help me out or refer me to someone who could help me out.
